This website is operated by Plappercast. We are committed to protecting your personal data and your right to privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

The short version: We collect as little data as possible. We do not use cookies. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Data We Collect

Email Address (Waitlist)

When you sign up for our waitlist, we collect your email address. This is the only personal data we actively collect from you.

Purpose: To notify you when Plappercast launches.
Legal basis: Your explicit consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).
Processor: EmailOctopus (emailoctopus.com), used to manage our mailing list. EmailOctopus processes your email address on our behalf and stores it on servers within the EU.
Retention: Until you unsubscribe, or until Plappercast launches and we have sent the launch notification, after which we will delete all waitlist data.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or by emailing us at [email protected].

Server Logs

When you visit this website, your browser automatically sends information to our hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.). This includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the page you requested. This data is stored in server logs for up to 30 days for security purposes and then automatically deleted. We have no control over this data collection.

Analytics (Pirsch)

We use Pirsch.io for website analytics. Pirsch is a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not fingerprint visitors. It uses a daily hash based on the visitor's IP address and user agent to identify unique visitors without storing or exposing any personal information.

No cookie banner is required because Pirsch does not place any cookies on your device and does not collect data subject to GDPR cookie consent requirements.

Data collected by Pirsch: page views, referrer, browser type, device type, country (from anonymized IP). No personal data. For more information, see Pirsch's privacy policy.

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. This website stores two values in your browser's localStorage (not cookies):

• theme – remembers your preferred color scheme (light or dark)
• lang – remembers your preferred language (English or German)

These values never leave your browser and are not transmitted to any server. You can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

Third-Party Services

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, Google may log your IP address. To minimize this, we use font preloading and recommend using a browser extension that blocks Google Fonts tracking if this concerns you.

We use Cloudflare as our hosting provider and DNS provider. Cloudflare may process technical data (IP addresses, HTTP headers) as part of their service. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access – You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification – You can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure – You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
• Right to withdraw consent – You can withdraw your consent to receive emails at any time.
• Right to lodge a complaint – You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
